Christ the Savior Orthodox Church
Orthodox Church in America
Religious Institute

Every year, Christ the Savior hosts a Religious Institute series in the month of October. Every week we offer a new lecture on different topics: sometimes a study of a book of the Bible; or a discussion on a topic of Orthodox faith. Many different famous Orthodox speakers have come to these talks over the years, including bishops, abbots, theologians, and seminary teachers. Starting this past year, our lectures are now being recorded and offered online.

2014 Lecture: Dr David Ford - On Christ-centered Marriage

Dr. David Ford teaches Church history courses at St. Tikhon's Orthodox Theological Seminary in South Canaan, PA. In this lecture, he speaks about the theology of Orthodox Christian marriage, in light of the Fathers.

2014 Lecture: Bishop Michael - On Confession

Bishop Michael (Dahulich) is the bishop of the diocese of New York and New Jersey, rector of St. Tikhon's Seminary and former deacon of the seminary. In this lecture, he discusses the theology behind the sacrament of confession, along with practical application.
